Data Engineer Online Services Platform
For a fast-growing online services platform we are looking for Data Engineers. You will work with a team of Developers and Data scientists to support the current platform and implement machine learning.
You are experienced with SQL, ETL Tools, Databases and Event collection systems and have a passion for machine learning.
Our client is an international company, headquartered in the beautiful city centre of Amsterdam. Their online platform connects home services providers – like plumbers, builders and electricians – to customers. They are the market leader in Europe.
Organization and role
The technology department has 5 teams; you’ll work in a team with 3 developers, a Product Owner, a Scrum Master and a UX designer. The teams are working closely together, apply Agile principles and take ownership to implement the desired product changes.
Your role will be to own data and be responsible for the flow from different sources until it’s visible to our internal users. These users may vary from country managers, product owners but also data scientists and analysts. You will design the data storage, build or use applications to get the data from source to destination and make the data available.
You will support the business analysts and data scientist to provide them with the right tools to support reporting and machine learning initiatives.
