Jaap van Goch
Jaap is one of Indigo’s co-founders. He has been in IT and the executive search business for over two decades. In his previous roles, Jaap gained extensive experience in both upscaling and downsizing large professional services organizations. He has completed Nyenrode Business University and additional management courses.
Jaap considers bringing people and businesses together to be the core of the recruitment business. His passionate interest in both ensures success.
A typical working day involves scheduling appointments with clients, partners and c-level candidates. The key to his work is attention to detail and the continued alignment between all stakeholders. Each process requires careful and continuous communication to keep momentum going and avoid unnecessary mistakes.
What else is there to know about Jaap? He speaks four languages; Dutch, English, German and French. He recently discovered Hydra, a tiny island off the cost of Athens, Greece, where he and his wife love to unwind. Aside from sailing and playing golf, he somehow enjoys bungee jumping.

Willem ter Harmsel
Willem is Indigo’s other co-founder. Having started in 2010, he’s very happy that together with Jaap, they molded it into the company he loves today. He considers himself very lucky of being able to choose his surroundings, both in terms of the people I work with and the IT industry.
Willem is truly fascinated by the IT industry and its ever expanding importance. He is very proud of the companies Indigo is working with and finds it inspiring to learn about their businesses. This helps immensely in triggering the right people and – most importantly – it makes his work nearly feel like leisure.
Engaging with all stakeholders as partners is Willem’s trick to the business. Partners help each other solve challenges and allow each other to become successful. In complex hiring processes, it helps keeping the momentum going whilst maintaining great attention to detail. Willem considers trust to be the key ingredient and believes no hiring process should be started without it.
Besides IT, Willem loves to indulge in great wine, food and beer, both in Amsterdam and abroad. Valencia and Porto are two of his favorite culinary destinations. He goes boxing and cycling to balance it out a bit.
